“This piece is all about the moods of the sea and how it can mirror our psyche, and how it mirrored mine at the time of its conception. It is an ocean of fitful moods - upbeat, enthusiastic, moving to a mysterious darkness, then to an angry intensity. Finishing with a dignified melancholy; an elegy… questions unanswered. For this piece I was inspired by the crashing of the waves on a Whitstable storm. It seemed to clear at one point with a ray of light beaming onto a newly calmed glistening sea.”
